How much weight can the DIY trike stand hold?
We designed our CNC cut TimberTable to hold the weight of all pedal powered recumbent tadpole trikes on the market today! The TimberLessTable utilizes the same metal hardware kit and components.
Everything was provided that I could put together a stand for maintaining my two Catrike bikes. Thanks
Thank you, we appreciate your feedback.
Affordable, easy to use
I just received your TimberLess Table. The parts are as described,, pipe edges properly rounded (no sharp edges or burrs). The stand is more than sufficient to support my 50 lb. recumbent trike. Had I purchased the parts separately, the cost (with shipping and/or fuel (to pick up parts) would have been about as much as I paid for the kit (I checked!), but it would have taken much more time and additional effort to buy and build. This is a very good deal. Thank you D
Thank you, we’ve given it our best effort!
The concept is good, but I suggest you furnish the three aluminum uprights with six simple U bolts sized to work with 2x4s instead of the fragile plastic tube holders. That would turn a shaky work stand into one which will stand up to the forces exerted on it during a tire change. Most of us have only one trike to work on so don't worry about it being easy to change positions of the uprights. I like the heavy gauge wall thickness of the uprights by the way. They work well with my U bolts. U bolts can be loosened if the uprights need to be rotated a little.
Suggestions incorporated! Thank you!!
I like the stand assembly was easy .it will do the job I will be creating braces. It wiggles under the weight of the trike. I wish the mounts for the tubes were metal.the plastic will fail over time its thin.
Thank you, we're glad you like your stand and assembly went well! For increased stiffness you can add some additional screws once your final position is decided. If you do experience a failure please let us know and we'll be happy to help.
